The Neighborhood

The Neighborhood connects caring community volunteers with foster (resource) parents in need of tangible and relational support.

How to support a Foster (resource) Family:

Volunteer teams with The Neighborhood come alongside a foster (resource) family for a six-month term and provide support in these three ways:

Meals Twice a Month

Random Acts of Kindness

Relationship and Partnership

Why The Neighborhood

Long-lasting positive relationships are imperative to a child's development and sense of well-being.

65% of children in care in Oregon experience 2 or more placements. The Neighborhood aims to stabilize placements and build relational support for the entire family.
